On June 8, working with our City partners, the Bankview Community Association was proud to host its inaugural Seniors’ Week Tea at the community hall.
I Love My Neighbourhood – Small Grants Making Bankview Great
With the support of the I Love My Neighbourhood small grant program, the Bankview Parent ‘N Tot Meet-up is back this summer! Swing by the playground at the hall Wednesdays at 10am until August 31st. The wee ones play, the parents have a cuppa and a chat! Come on out and meet your neighbours!

Bankview – This Is My Neighbourhood.
We’re excited to share an update from our partners at the City of Calgary. As you may know, Bankview is one of 14 communities chosen by the City for the This Is My Neighbourhood program! The program will see the implementation of a number of improvements, thanks to your suggestions. Stay tuned for more updates in the months to come!
Free Summer Day Camps Return to Bankview
This year the City of Calgary’s Park and Play program returns to Bankview August 8 – 12th at the community hall. These free, safe, supervised programs help children make new friends learn new games and activities that they can use on their path to a healthy and active lifestyles.
- Stay n’ Play is for children ages 3 to 5 years and runs from 10:00 am – noon
- Participants must be accompanied by an adult/guardian (max 2 kids per adult)
- Park n’ Play is for children ages 6 to 12 years and runs 10:00 am – 3:30pm
Programs are weekdays and are weather dependant. Register toady!
Improving Bike Mobility in Bankview
Watch for a few days of increased parking restrictions on 17 Street SW and 19 Avenue SW in the coming weeks as the City is building a bike ramp to better access Nimmons Park.
