Each fall, the Bankview Community Association hosts two free community events for Halloween. On October 29, our community carved 75 jack-o-lanterns with Ward 8 Councillor, Evan Woolley. Following the event participants took home their creations to decorate their front stoops and balconies alike. Days later, over 100 lightly used jack o lanterns were relit and placed throughout Buckmaster Park on November 1, giving Bankview residents one final opportunity to celebrate Halloween. Residents strolled through a parade of jack-o-lanterns sipping hot chocolate and eating snacks courtesy of an I Love My Neighbourhood Grant. These events would also not be possible without the support of numerous volunteers who carried pumpkins, cleaned up mounds of pumpkin seeds, and lit dozens upon dozens of tea lights. The Bankview Community Association thanks to each and every one of you for your volunteer and Halloween spirits!”
