Bankview Community Association actively makes space for creativity and colour in our community. In the past few years, the Community Association has built multiple projects that focus on bringing street life back into Bankview’s treasured places by adding public art. This public art has the added benefit of warding off graffiti and taggers. Below are a collection of the news about public art projects we have engaged in as a community association. Interested in getting involved in bringing more public art to Bankview, send us an email: email@example.com
In mid-July two local Bankview artists, Chris Pecora and Vince Kogut, were selected to participate in the This is My Neighbourhood public art program in Buckmaster Park and the Bankview Off-Leash Park.
Cliff Kirchhoffs has a long history with Bankview and recently he has been rediscovering the community through the lens of his camera. Take a moment to check out how Cliff captures Bankview.
In early June new art work was installed on the tennis courts facing 23rd Avenue SW. Be sure to swing by and check out this fantastic new addition to our ever-growing collection of public art in Bankview.
