The NeighbourWoods program is a tree planting initiative developed to replenish, grow and preserve our urban forest. Bankview residents are invited (even encouraged) to register to plant a tree in our community.

Bankview was selected as ideal for NeighbourWoods based on a series of factors such as the health and condition of the existing urban forest, community interest and tree planting opportunities.

Our goal is to plant 100 trees!!

Are you interested in a tree for $30 now!?

The only stipulation is that: “All trees must be planted on City property. This criteria includes your boulevard or back-of-walk area. Boulevards are the spaces between the sidewalk and road. Back-of-walk refers to the City-owned space between the sidewalk and your property line.”

Whether you live in a house, condo, or an apartment, everyone can (and is encouraged) to participate in NeighbourWoods.

If you are interested please call 3-1-1.

The Deadline for Bankview residents to apply is July 30, 2015. Our trees will arrive, and be ready for planting, on August 29, 2015.
