Community Garden

The Bankview Community Garden is in Upper Buckmaster Park near 23rd Avenue and 16th Street SW. It was created in 2011 to be a peaceful and productive space where neighbours can meet, relax and grow food for themselves. The garden is divided into separated plots which are available for individuals and families from Bankview to rent. Gardeners are responsible for planting, weeding, and managing and harvesting their own plot over the growing season.

The cost to rent a plot is $40 for the season and gardeners must be members of the Bankview Community Association. Renters must also agree to the attached garden bylaws. Returning gardeners in good standing have first option to rent their previous plot, so unfortunately availability is limited. There is currently a short waiting list for the 2017 season.
